Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Web Content Architect to support the migration of approximately 80 Drupal websites to a new codebase and design. This role will play a crucial part in enhancing the content strategy and user experience, working closely with agency content managers and leveraging data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with agency content managers to analyze Google Analytics data and insights from other SEO tools to make informed recommendations on retiring outdated content, improving content design, and enhancing website navigation.
Provide expertise in website accessibility, ensuring compliance with the best practices to make the websites inclusive and user-friendly for all visitors.
Lead training sessions for content managers on using the new web design system and guide them through the process of manually migrating content.
Offer continuous support to agencies throughout the content migration process to ensure a smooth transition.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field.
Proven expertise in keyword placement and SEO best practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to edit content to plain language and an 8th-grade reading level for maximum accessibility.
Experience in writing, editing, and publishing website content.
Familiarity with web accessibility best practices.
Proficient in generating Google Analytics reports and utilizing Google Tag Manager.
Experience working within Google Search Console, including submitting sitemaps and handling 404 errors by removing pages from indexing.
Hands-on experience with loading content into Drupal websites and managing common content management systems such as Drupal, WordPress, and DNN.
Experience with SEO tools like Monsido and Crazy Egg.
Proven ability to create training documentation and deliver effective training to users.
A solid background in account administration related to content management systems.

Skills and Experience:

3+ years of experience with SEO, content management, and website analytics.
Hands-on experience in training users and preparing materials for ongoing support.
A strong understanding of website accessibility and ensuring websites meet modern standards.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with account administration in content management systems and content loading in Drupal.
