Job Description

Summary

Work closely with Proposals, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to prepare timely, cost-effective import/export budgets and execution strategies. Responsible for handling the technical details of international transportation—multi-modal (AIR-OCEAN, PARCEL, INLAND), import/export documentation, trade compliance, and varying customs regulations, and building relationships with logistics intermediaries. Serve as a troubleshooter, address, and resolve problems inherent in moving freight. Prepare accident/non-conformance reports and initiate insurance claims with the treasury group as needed.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance of all carriers and logistics intermediaries
  • Ensure compliance with international and U.S. laws related to import/export activity & Trade Compliance
  • Work with Project Managers/Engineers to prepare Project Logistics Plans
  • Supervise and coordinate preparation of project cargo for both domestic and international shipments
  • Liaison between Company and Customer coordinating all logistic efforts
  • Prepare logistic budgets for new projects and assist with parts and equipment source.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders, Sales Orders and Shipping instructions for Projects & AMS-After Market parts
  • Prepare and review / file BLs, invoices, COAs, packing lists and SDS (when applicable
  • Monitor / communicate status of orders / shipments to suppliers / customers (ETAs, ETDs) and provide feedbacks for internal and external customers.
  • Request new vendor creations and update existing ones in the ERP system when needed
  • Manage / track invoices and assign invoices for payment / assure smooth communications with accounting
  • Troubleshoot / Keep all internal order systems up to date.
  • Assist Manager in research markets/products in order prepare business plans.
  • File documentation on the network in a timely manner
  • Assist with inventory audit and evaluation and slow moving reduction initiative
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

  • Comfort and experience interfacing with various levels of staff and management, while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees, and vendors

Education and Formal Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/ international commerce or supply chain.
  • 5 – 7 years of applicable Logistic & Supply chain experience in the manufacturing sector of an engineered product
  • Bilingual - fluency in English and Spanish reading, writing & speaking – Required.
