  • Benefits Package:

    • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

    • 401(k) Retirement Plan

    • Paid Time Off and Holidays

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Be part of a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with an impressive employee retention rate.

  • You’ll join a mission-driven team delivering excellence on federal job sites —a step above the typical commercial construction scene.

  • Work culture that values safety, structure, and accountability, without micromanagement.

  • Continuous year-round work and real opportunities for growth in a stable, high-stakes environment.

Your New Role

As a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) , your mission is clear: keep job sites safe, compliant, and running efficiently. You’ll be the go-to authority on OSHA regulations and federal site safety requirements. Expect to work hands-on at a variety of project sites across the state, especially in Northern Maryland, with travel as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust safety programs that align with OSHA and company protocols.

  • Conduct on-site inspections, identify hazards, and enforce safety standards across active projects.

  • Deliver safety training to crews, covering PPE, emergency protocols, and hazard mitigation.

  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with management to create strategic safety initiatives and reduce workplace risk.

  • Document all inspections, incidents, and training for internal and external audits.

  • Serve as a trusted on-site advisor for all things safety.

Hiring Expectations: Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience.

  • OSHA 30 Certification (Required)

  • HAZWOPER Certification (Required)

  • 3–5 years of safety experience in commercial or federal construction environments

  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and risk management practices

  • Experience leading training and conducting incident investigations

  • Proficiency in safety compliance documentation and reporting

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to influence and motivate teams towards a safety-first culture

  • Willingness to travel within Maryland as needed

  • Must pass a federal background check (required for all federal site work)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum education requirement)

  • While the primary focus is on projects within Maryland, assignments may occur anywhere in the U.S. As a federal contractor, we go where the work is, and we prioritize keeping our team working over issuing layoffs. Flexibility for occasional nationwide travel is essential.
