As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrols Part-Time in Englewood Cliffs, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a dynamic location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. You will be expected to respond promptly to incidents, assist with access control, and communicate clearly with both visitors and staff. This position requires driving as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What Youll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior through visible patrols and attentive monitoring.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid drivers license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
