Occupational Therapist - School Based at Supplemental Health Care summary:

Occupational Therapists provide therapeutic services to students in school settings, developing and implementing individualized programs based on evaluations. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and student guardians while maintaining detailed records and monitoring progress toward goals outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This role often involves travelling between school locations and may include supervising assistants, with a focus on supporting students' physical, cognitive, and developmental needs.

Job Description:

Supplemental Health Care is hiring Occupational Therapists to work at a partnering school district in Aurora, Illinois. We bring more than 40 years of experience and a reputation for excellence to every healthcare professional we support. School-Based Occupational Therapist Contract Details:

• $45 – $47 an hour
• 2025-2026 School Year
• $3000 assignment bonus for new Supplemental Health Care employees
• Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time
• Start Date: August 2025
• End Date: May 2026
• Location: West Aurora, IL
• Develop and implement educational and therapy programs based on evaluation results
• Evaluates students to identify needs and determine eligibility for therapy services
• Collect therapy data, maintain accurate student records, and monitor progress toward student goals
• Work collaboratively and communicate with school interdisciplinary team and student guardians
• Schedule follows the school district calendar
• Will provide occupational therapy services according to student IEP
• Assigned schools may include various grade levels
• May be asked to travel between school locations
• May be asked to supervise assistants

Requirements:

• IDFPR Occupational Therapist license
• American Heart Association BLS
• Prior experience with pediatrics or in a school setting is preferred but not required
