Become an HRBP at our boutique consulting firm. Join the business where HR is the profit center, not a cost center. Work directly with client owners and decision makers of small growth companies to establish and run HR processes; facilitate performance review, benefits, compensation and other recurring HR cycles; manage employee relations matters and ensure compliance; foster employee engagement; and advise founders of client companies on People & Culture strategy.

Our clients will rely on you to advise them on who gets a seat at the table, invite you to coach and upskill their successors, and build equitable workplaces.

The role is full-time hybrid with up to 3 days onsite with EnterGain colleagues and clients in New York City and the surrounding areas. The position reports to the Co-Founders of EnterGain.

We Want to Hear About Your:

  • Experience as an HR generalist.
  • Employee relations and compliance experience.
  • Practiced knowledge of employee benefits.
  • Skills in managing recurring annual HR processes.
  • Love of full cycle recruiting.
  • High level of business acumen.
  • Passion for deeply understanding the businesses you serve.
  • Business advisor mindset that guides C-level clients to make great decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Degree in HR, or active PHR or SHRM certification or equivalent experience.

What You’ll Get:

  • Depending on the job relevant knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, network and location of the final hire, the base salary is anticipated at an annual rate in the range of $65K to $80K.

Position Requirements:

  • Degree or certification in HR.
  • 2 or more years of HR generalist experience.
  • Strong employment compliance knowledge.
  • Employee relations experience, including PIP management, investigations and termination guidance, and coordination with outside employment counsel to support client employment action decision making.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits.
  • Expert at navigating and managing various HRIS and PEO online systems efficiently.
  • Experience creating and running HR initiatives including policy drafting and roll outs, employee review programs, open enrollment, management training, employee engagement and culture shaping activities.
  • Ability to conduct full cycle recruitment.
  • Great client management skills, both managing relationships with client sponsors, and employees and candidates at all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable.
  • Ability to be onsite with EnterGain team, and/or clients up to 3 times a week in New York City and the surrounding area.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Highest work ethic and integrity.
