Lelander is looking for a Contract Digital Account Manager / Project Manager who has a passion for exceeding customer expectations and excels in communication, leadership, performance, and all of the amazing things Account and Project Managers are known for exemplifying. This person should also be interested in a role that looks a little different than your typical agency AM/PM position, where flexibility and control of your schedule are prioritized. 

We encourage independence and autonomy and make sure to back that with a supportive management and development team to give you the confidence you need to be a great AM/PM. Among other things, this role is responsible for helping to define the project vision and ensuring projects meet the agreed scope, budget, and timeline. This role is also responsible for communicating and collaborating directly with the client. We’re looking for someone who is observant, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating tough conversations as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide AM/PM expertise and leadership for all phases of the project lifecycle—including estimation and scoping—for websites, mobile apps, or other technical projects. 
• Lead teams in a positive manner throughout the completion of the project, while continuously evaluating and ensuring project benchmarks and milestones are being met.
• Help define the project vision and make sure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in scope.
• Mitigate risk when successful delivery of a project timeline, budget, or scope looks to be in question. 
• Facilitate meetings over the lifecycle of your projects from kickoff to retrospectives.
• Foster a team environment in which members can transparently discuss questions, observations, and concerns related to the project.
• Oversee coordination of personnel and resources to successfully complete the project.
• Provide excellent customer service while ensuring quality standards are being met.
• Navigate crucial conversations (written and verbal) with clients and team members while remaining calm, confident, and backed by positive intent.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting regarding project updates and milestones.
• Communicate observations and suggestions for continuous improvement of processes and practices to management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of Account and/or Project Management or related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal skills—clear and proactive communication is essential in this role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Account Management, Project Management, Marketing, IT, Logistics, or other relevant areas preferred.
• Proven track record of managing projects—ideally websites, mobile apps, or other technical projects—with successful client outcomes.
• Technical skills and knowledge are not required however you must be open to learning about different technologies and technical aspects of a project.
• Must be organized and able to manage time and personal schedule. 
• Comfortable with using and learning to use spreadsheets and SaaS project management apps.
• Experience managing and forecasting budgets and resource expectations.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, anticipating needs in advance.
• Experience with G-Suite preferred.
• Experience working in an Agile or Hybrid environment preferred.
• **Bonus** Any related skills or experience outside of Account and Project Management (e.g., graphic design, copywriting, SEO, marketing automation, QA, etc.)

What Might Be Different About Managing Projects with Lelander:

• Our Contract AM/PMs are paid an agreed hourly rate, and typically work between 10-35 hours per week. Hours are not guaranteed but are flexible depending on the project and AM/PM’s desired workload and availability.
• Lelander’s business hours are 9:00-5:00 pm CST. Our AM/PM contractors are typically available throughout the workday and for a 9:30 AM CST daily meeting, but hours can be flexible depending on your project load.
• Lelander’s mission is to support a network of freelance talent and we look for individuals who are interested in contracting permanently. We are a good fit for those who have tested the waters at agencies or similar organizations and are looking for something with more flexibility in their workday, with the ability to work remotely and have a say in what clients or projects they work on.
• While many benefits come with this role for someone who is looking for this type of work environment and structure, this position does not offer healthcare or other related benefits.
• Our office is headquartered in St. Louis and offers space to anyone in our network who is interested in working here. At the same time, our network of talent is mostly remote and is spread across the continental US, as are our clients. Likely, you will only work remotely with your team and clients or may facilitate meetings that are partially in-person, or partially remote.
